We offer holistic somatic reconciliation support from traumatic experiences by delivering effective neurobiology to"Reclaim Survivor Empowerment Through Embodied Restoration.”

The Grace Tree Foundation

The Grace Tree Project was the first step supporting trauma experiences founded in 2013 with the increasing experience of trauma around the global. In 2017 The Grace Tree Foundation, LLC (GT) was formed to support global trauma resolution thru awareness, outreach, physiological based somatic trauma, injury, and toxic stress resolution. We are dedicated to supporting the ease of adverse physiological and biopsychosocial symptoms that exists in our world. We offer experiences to support reconnection to one’s own internal healing balm to increase embodied empowerment, increased nervous system capacity and the potential to experience full, pleasurable and vital life force.

Mission

To provide holistic physiological trauma awareness and therapeutic somatic support to increase overall well-being, life force, vitality, reconnection to dignity, and ease body, mind, spirit suffering. We accomplish this work through relational connection of integrity, dignity, grace, and ethical evidence-based physiology for whole-person care to resolve physiological trauma.

Vision

To encourage humankind to reconnect and integrate heart-felt resolve, grace, embody experiential somatic practices to experience a life well nourished, and increased vitality.

Founder & Executive Director

Founder and Executive Director, Viana Mora, cIAYT, SEP, RSME/T, eRYT500/YACEP, MHPS, RRCA is the lead Somatic Movement Therapist. “I began my movement specialist career in the early 1990's, little did I know it would lead to my important experiential trauma resolution journey that offers support to those who suffer from physiological trauma/toxic stress adverse effects. My advanced Somatic Trauma Speciality is accomplished through global The Grace Tree Foundation, LLC organization. We offer virtual private practice supporting evidence-based and experiential somatic movement private practice, advocacy, education/training, mentorship, and corporate presentation services. Grace Tree’s professionals offer client exploration creating “safe enough” somatic practices, which connects to renegotiating curiosity, exploration, heart-felt resolve, and coherent nervous system regulation experiences.”

RESEARCH

Experiential practice and research has shown we can reorganize and mitigate our challenging life experiences/body responses. They are related to the stored energetic trauma that might have been thwarted before/during/after the trauma or toxic experiences(s). Contact us for more information.

Approach. Our four element approach addresses individualized biopsychosocial needs that build and integrate nervous system, brain remapping and feedback. Embodying “safe enough” trauma renegotiation and coherence experiences to support trauma resolution. We do not work a specific protocol, as physiological and psychological trauma, injuries, and stored constrictive energetic experiences in the body are individualized. We work with principles of neuroscience, somatic therapy, yogic psychology, exercise science, kinesiology, anatomy, trauma physiology to integrate specialized evidenced-based modalities to experience holistic trauma support to realign and reduced somatic body-based symptoms. Working together with individual stored resources, and activation is central in creating increased capacity of our living range of feelings, emotions, and use of our individualized full range of nervous system responses to move towards completing stored trauma energy, not just discharging them.

Traumatic Experiences like car accidents, medical/dental procedures, falls, wars, emotional/psychological/physical/sexual abuse, rape, chronic pain, natural/man-made disasters, adverse childhood experiences are just several that often evoke extraordinary responses. The transformation process can allow people to deepen their sense of self and others. The healing journey can be an “awakening” to untapped resources and feelings of empowered strength. With the help of these new allies, people can open portals to rebirth and achieve an increased sense of aliveness and flow. The experience can be a genuine spiritual awakening, one that allows people to reconnect with the world.

The Structure of Trauma. Includes hyper/hypo-arousal, dissociation, and freezing and is based on the evolution of the predator/prey survival behaviors that Dr. Peter Levine the creator of Somatic Experiencing studied and practiced as his lifetime work. The symptoms of trauma are the result of a highly activated incomplete biological response to threat, frozen in time. By enabling the adverse nervous system response to move, thaw and complete, trauma can be renegotiated.

Sensory Motor System. Before we learned language, we experience a nonverbal world that informed and enabled our sensory communication of our body. This is what is experienced in our implicit (unconscious/automatic) body memory and sensory imprint responses. We work to support sensory motor reconnection experiences a little at a time, which is opposite of the trauma experience which is too much, too soon, too fast, usually without adequate support, choice or control. This supports creating a solid foundation of self-regulation and co-regulation experiences using a number of resourced stabilization skills/tools towards the individual’s restoration journey that will inevitably transform individual life experiences.

Somatic Supported Work. Supporting mindful somatic practices without causing re-traumatization can be experienced as a challenge by many, and with specialized education, knowledge, and experiential application we can offer support, guide and hold coherent space for clients to develop their individual renegotiated experiences of what is “safe enough” or “relative safety” when they are ready. We look forward to supporting survivors globally, you’re invited to ask any questions you may have.

Note: We do not see clients who are actively suicidal unless under the care of a licensed mental health therapist who has approved adjunct somatic therapy support services.

Disclaimer: The above methodologies & services are not intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, rather are adjunct modalities used to modulate physiological responses from within the whole body, and work towards experiencing integrative and ease to suffering.

At this time we are accepting new clients until August 17, 2024.

As I often tell my students, the two most important phrases in their neurosomatic sessions, are “Notice that” and “What happens next?” Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.
